Century's C2 Black Stealth rods have been exclusively produced for Tackle Fanatics to our exacting specification. The concept behind the Black Stealth is a stripped down, lightweight, sleeker version of the award winning C2. The original C2’s ALPS reel seat has been replaced with a 1k carbon seat with black collars to cut down on weight and give the rod a more ‘stealthy’ look. The anti-tangle Fuji rings that are mounted on the standard C2 have been replaced with a 50-16mm long range ring set, which once again cut down on the bulk and weight of the rods fittings. The Stealth’s top quality high density duplon handle further compliments the rods stealthy look and is tipped with a laser etched butt cap.
The C2’s blank has been labelled the ‘master’s’ for its excellent playing action and extensive range of the latest features, backed by cutting edge technology. Manufactured in the UK, Century Black Stealth C2's utilise Century’s Autoclave Technology to cure the 3M Matrix Resin, resulting in what Century call ‘HPR’ (High Performance Resin). This technology has made the rod 65% stronger, 25% lighter and capable of withstanding a far higher level of bending and loading compared to conventional resin system rods. Combining the 3M Matrix resin with an autoclave curing process (unique to Century) further enhances these results, ultimately resulting in a rod that greatly resists fatigue or action decay. A first in Century's rod development, the C2 benefits from a high MOI resistance; this is the rods resistance to rotational acceleration, which reduces casting distance. Century’ kept MOI numbers to an absolute minimum in the C2, increasing the rod’s potential by efficiently converting energy to distance. The new Command and Control Black Stealth is available with full shrink, duplon, or Century’s Super Grade Cork, in a range of lengths and test curves.
