Century’s NG range of rods is synonymous amongst the angling fraternity and was first introduced in the late 1990’s when Century undertook the original development with Frank Warwick. Since this time the NG’s have become a cult angling tool. Since its birth over a decade ago there have been several technical advances in composite fibre and resin technologies, the best of these have been incorporated into the latest model - the NG+.
The NG+ has carbon patterns are cut using a CAD/CAM machine that holds high tolerances and ensures precise consistency from rod to rod. In addition the NG+ is subject to Century’s Autoclaved Technology curing process which significantly reduces test curve decay. New to this latest series of rods also features Anti Twist Technology (ATT), which involves winding very fine carbon fibre around the blank that assists ring alignment during the cast. The revised action protects the line during casting to reduce the chance of crack offs, giving superior shock absorption with braided lines and when snag fishing. The full range of rods are fitted with the stunning SB20 engraved, part stainless reel seat and features woven 2k-2k below the seat and 1k-1k above running to the first ring on the tip section. The surface finish is matt and sealed with PTFE/Silicone. The NG+ is supplied with a stainless steel ball butt stop.
