Designed for the UK in conjunction with the youngest ever Specimen Cup winner, Darran Goulder, Shimano’s Purist Tench Float 12’6” is well able for float fishing for tench, undeniably the absolute ‘purist’ form of targeting the species.
The Purist has been described as the ‘perfect weapon’ for its task, featuring two-piece construction, cork handle and 14 well-spaced double-leg Hardlite guides. Its soft, 1lb test curve rated tip action cushions the lunges of powerful fish at close range, ensuring small hooks stay put without pulling out at the net. The Purist features a traditional olive whippings and blank finish and is supplied with a dedicated rod sleeve with rod bands.
