These classy rods are typical of what we've come to expect from Shimano.
The latest rods to grace the Alivio range have been completely reworked from the original. The new super sleek, lightweight XT30 blank is finished with elegant and discrete graphics, Shimano Hardlite stainless guides and a DPS reel seat.
The rods have a great all round action that gives the angler enough power to cast the required distances, whilst being forgiving when playing fish under the rod tip. The lighter test curve is perfect for small to medium sized waters where big casts aren't necessary and are great fun to play fish on. The higher test curve rod lends itself to bigger casts with heavier leads and PVA bags, and is therefore well suited to cope with bigger lakes and heavier fish.
Overall these rods are great performers whilst being easy on the wallet.
