Century’s New Century Speed (NCS) is a carp rod with a fine pedigree. Only the best raw materials have been selected to balance the requirements for performance, low weight and diameter with a reliable ongoing supply. Utilising a combination of machine cut cross ply 35gsm carbon, intermediate and high modulus carbon with a woven 1k-1k twill outer sheath makes the architecture of the blank a true masterpiece. Century, by optimising the carbon patterns, have generated a classic mid to tip action in the NCS allowing super smooth casts and effortless playability and of course the rod is subject to their unique Autoclave technology for action retention.
Century has designed the action of the NCS to sit in between the NG and SP ranges. Using a process and carbon pattern configuration that delivers Additional tip speed whilst still retaining a progressive C curve gives this impressive rod its name – New Century Speed. The NCS is fitted with the new Century HB20 reel seat coupled with a discreet silk varnish compliment the Japanese shrink rubber handle and 50mm ringing configuration. A truly stunning range of rods that have been designed and made by the best in the business.
